It appears to be a unified version of Blizzard Launcher for all of their games. It has a UI that resembles the more minimalist design of the web site as compared with the more textured UI of the game-specific launcher. This replaces the launcher for all Blizzard games, and works similar to the older launchers, with background updates, repair tool, and more.
Patch 1.7 was released in mid February 2017 and added a Suggested Friends feature that added several ways to look for potential new friends (friends of friends, Facebook friends, and Diablo friends).
Patch 1.6 was released in late November, but apparently was wrongly versioned and patch 1.5.2 returned the next day. Patch 1.5.1 added Blizzard Voice Chat with Patch 1.5.2 adding improvements and bug fixes.
I'm sleepy as all hell so i just want to install it and go to bed. Then after about 2 hours of updates, it says the same error, but for the update. maybe i just need to download the update, its like 300 plus mb.
Little did i know this was just the beginning of my ordeal that was yet to come. So i decide to skip that and just download the enitre game from Blizzard. The first time it was literally telling me it was gong to take 70 plus hours to download 7 gbs, i've downloaded 9gb in about 10 hours, i'm a little mad at this point. The download just stops, i try it again and it won't continue.
It would show "Checking for updates...", then "Updating Agent..", and finally fail saying: "Installation: Something went wrong while trying to launch a program. If it happens again, try restarting your computer." After hitting the close button, there are several processes that continue to run, consuming lots of processor.
It's not getting further than initializing :/ Does anyone have an idea to fix this?On my 8th hour if you can believe it trying to install SCII.Now i get home and what do you know it, my sister bought me SCII. The Updates begin downloading at a snails pace, 40 mb took like 25 minutes.Unlike the game clients, patch notes are not regularly given out.So far patch notes have only been posted for v1.0.9.Patch 1.5 of the desktop app supposedly added streaming capability via Facebook, but only in Windows OS.
